First off, thank you all so very much for your thoughts, prayers, and encouraging words as we fought the city council ordinance revision that would have made us have to move our bus. God is good!!! It was in His hands to handle as He saw fit, even if that meant a complete overhaul of our plan, timetable, and finances as they all belong to Him anyway. Our gracious heavenly Father has seen fit to have a split vote amongst our city council members go in favor of letting us keep our bus parked beside our home until January 1st. I am grateful to all the city officials who took time today to hear out our grievance and vote favorably. Even to those who voted against our extension, we understand that their motivation (I choose to believe) is not personal, but motivated by what's in the best interest of their constituents. So thank you, all who serve our great town, for what you do. Also, we thank you for considering how we personally were going to be affected by a policy change that frankly has much bigger implications in mind than our small bus project. I have come to understand (or I choose to believe) that my earlier views, that this was a personal attack on us, was actually targeting other issues in town and we were caught in the fray. So again, thanks from the bottom of our hearts to all those who sent thoughts, prayer, and kind words our way during this stressful situation. God is so good, and we are so undeserving.
